How to deploy Click-To-Run in the main computer to share the folder for installations

"Couldn't install" message when you install Office 2013 or Office 365
Couldn't install
We're sorry, we had a problem installing your Office program(s).
Is your internet connection working? Do you have enough free space on your main hard drive?
Please try installing again after you've checked the above.



From the Computer open "Computer Management" > Run "compmgmt.msc"


Select "Shared Folders"


It will open the Wizard to create a Shared Folder.


Select the location "C:\Data\Software" click "Next"

 The wizard ask to create the new folder, click "Yes" > click "Next"

 Select YES.PNG

 Click "Next"


 Apply permissions to Administrators or Everyone (As need it)


 Click "Finish"



Open the Shred folder created at C:\Data\Software and then Download the Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run


Double click the installer and then check the box to "Accept" the "Microsoft Software License Terms"


Expand "Computer" > "Local Disk (C:)" > Data > Software


 The Configuration XML will be placed in the folder "Software":


Needs to verify the Configuration.xml the original file
Double click and then will shows the information like:

After modify the original Configuration.XML file, will see like:

The following Microsoft Office 365 product IDs are supported by the Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run in Office 365 deployments:
  • O365ProPlusRetail
  • O365BusinessRetail
  • VisioProRetail
  • ProjectProRetail
  • SPDRetail (SharePoint Designer)

Customer can modify the version of the product to install, fo rexample:

Version 15.0.4631.1004


Customer can modify if they want to update automatically for example:

Updates are Enabled (Updates Enabled="TRUE")


Customer can modify the languages for example:

Languages English, Spanish and Portuguese: Language ID="en-us" Language ID="pt-br" and Language ID="es-es"




Open CMD.EXE and then type the location for click to run:


CD C:\Data\Software


setup.exe /download configuration.xml


When the deployment finish, it'll creates the folder "Office" in the path C:\Data\Software


Another folder created "DATA"


Will shows the current version downloaded like;
